Mathematics - Number patterns

Number patterns in Grade 12 cover three main types. Arithmetic sequences use the formula Tn = a + (n-1)d where d is the common difference. Geometric sequences use Tn = a * r^(n-1) where r is the common ratio. Quadratic sequences have a constant second difference and require you to find the general term by working with the differences. All three types appear regularly in Paper 1.
