A monohybrid cross examines inheritance of a single gene. When a heterozygous parent (Tt) is crossed with a homozygous recessive parent (tt), the offspring ratio is 50% Tt (carrier) and 50% tt (recessive). In exam questions you must draw a Punnett square, label P1, gametes, and F1 generation, state both genotype and phenotype ratios, and give the probability as a fraction or percentage.
